Forest Series

Sometimes I don’t know what a piece is until it’s finished. I love the feeling of carving clay, and have always been drawn to patterns. That’s how these started. It wasn’t until after the glaze firing that I saw mushroom gills and tree stands in these bowls and mugs. One reminds me of the way light reflects off of ripples on water when the sun hits them just right.
