Coastal Series

Desert landscapes have always played a big role in my work. With this series I wanted to capture the coastal area I live in. When I get lucky, the seafoam glaze crashes into the the more earthy glaze and raw clay like waves on the beach. The red clay bodies can still lend a desert feel to these pieces. But then, the openness of the ocean is not unlike the openness of desert skies.
